携帯電話用TFT液晶ディスプレイに適したアナログフルモノリシック駆動システムを開発した。本駆動システムは，他のアプリケーション向けでは実用化されていたアナログフルモノリシック駆動システムを携帯電話向けに最適化したものであり，パネル駆動用電源回路とD/Aコンバータ，タイミングジェネレータ等を１チップ化したLSIを新規に開発し，これまでの携帯電話機の本体側システムをそのまま継承することが可能となっている。本稿では，コスト，EMI，フレキシビリティー等のさまざまな面でメリットを得ることができるアナログフルモノリシック駆動システムについて解説する。
We developed a driving system for analog full monolithic CG Silicon
TFT LCD panels optimized for use in mobile phone handsets. It consists
of a new LSI integrating the power source circuit, D/A converter and
timing generator and other components, in order that the analog full
monolithic system, which in itself has been used for other applications,
becomes compatible with the existing handset design. This paper explains
the system and its advantages in various aspects such as costs, EMI,
and flexibility.
