携帯電話をはじめとするモバイル機器やデジタル化が進んだTV，カメラなどのデジタル家電が急速に普及する中で，それら機器の連携が必要とされてきている。連携する方法としては有線（イーサネット, USBなど），無線（WiFiなど），メモリーカードなど様々な手段があるが，今回新たに国際標準規格として承認された高速赤外線通信であるIrSimpleTMプロトコルを使った機器連携を検討した。そのIrSimpleにより手軽で高速な通信が可能となることで生みだされる新たな応用を検討した。
The proliferation of mobile devices (e.g. mobile phones) and digital appliances (e.g. TV sets and cameras) has led to a greater demand for interoperation between these products.
This paper discusses interoperation based on IrSimple, a newly standardized high-speed infrared communications protocol, and looks into applications that become possible thanks to relatively fast and easy-to-use data exchange capability that IrSimple provides.
