BSディジタルハイビジョン放送開始に先立ち，今回，28型ワイド液晶ディスプレイテレビを開発した。本機は，28型ワイドXGA液晶パネル，新開発薄型スピーカシステム，新開発バックライトシステムを採用することにより，高画質，高音質，高輝度化を実現した。
