世界の国々は，CO2の削減，医療費の削減，バリアフリーや安全な社会づくりなどいくつもの共通の大きな課題を抱えている。日本では，このために産業も家庭も，種々の対策を打ってきている。しかし，さらに効果的に解決していくためには，複数の機器や複数のシステムを統合するシステム的な管理が不可欠になってきている。本稿では，これらを実現するための設備系ホームネットワークであるECHONETの技術内容，応用事例および今後の方向について紹介する。
The countries in the world have many common tasks, such as the reduction of CO2 emissions, the reduction of health care costs, and creation of a barrier-free safe society. In Japan, various measures have been made in the industry level and home level to solve these issues. Ultimately, however, a more effective resolution will require systematic management that integrates a plurality of devices or systems. In this paper, we introduce the technical contents, application examples, and the future direction of the ECHONET that is designed to control home appliances for resolution above subjects.
