本論文では，擬人化エージェントにより親しみやすいインタフェースを提供しながら，パソコンから制御ができる情報家電の操作が容易に行える高度で統一的なサービスを提供するインタフェースエージェントを提案する。本提案のエージェントは，次の４つの特徴を備える。（１）頑健かつ高精度な音声によるスクリプトの連想検索，（２）インターネットホームページの閲覧履歴から抽出されたユーザ嗜好に応じた情報提供，（３）エージェントキャラクタによるパソコンや情報家電操作を行うスクリプトがエンドユーザにも開発可能な環境，（４）似顔絵技術を用いたエージェントキャラクタのカスタマイズ機能。
This paper describes a design and implementation of the interface agent with advanced and unified services, which allows everybody to make good use of digital information appliances controlled by PC, through friendly user interface with a life-like animated character. The interface agent proposed here offers the following features: (1) Robust and high-precision associative retrieval for scripts, which perform a variety of tasks, by speech; (2) Information presentation based on user's interests extracted from Web pages which a user browses; (3) End-user programming environment to develop scripts, which operate PC, digital information appliances, and agent characters; (4) Customization of agent characters based on automatic generation of facial caricature.
