当社は，フラットパネルディスプレーとして業界で初めて地上デジタルハイビジョンチューナを搭載した地上・BS・110度CSデジタルハイビジョン液晶テレビAQUOS（アクオス）シリーズを昨年6月より順次発売した。従来のBS・110度CSデジタル放送に地上デジタル放送が加わることにより，視聴対象となるネットワークやチャンネルは更に増加する。このような多チャンネル時代においては，ユーザにとって希望するサービスをいかに簡単な操作で選択できるかが極めて重要な要素となり，地上デジタルハイビジョン液晶テレビAQUOSでは，ユーザの視点に立ち，快適かつ理解しやすいユーザインタフェースを実現している。本稿では，AQUOSで採用したユーザインタフェースのうち選局システムやEPGについて解説する。
We released the BS/CS 110/Terrestrial LCD TV (AQUOS series), which equipped with Digital Terrestrial Hi-Vision tuner for the first time in the industry, in June, 2003. Reception of Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting enables users to select from more channels than those of conventional digital TV. In such an age of multichannel broadcasts, it is very important for us to offer usability to selecting a desired channel easily. Our AQUOS realizes user-oriented, comfortable, and easy-to-understand user interface. This report explains our system of selecting channels and EPG, which are integral components of the user interface.
