携帯電話のデザインを語るには，現在に至るまでの変遷を認識する必要がある。又，現在では生活の必需品となった携帯電話。その価値観としての意味とデザインの関係は密接である。社会に対し貢献する携帯電話としての良い側面と同時に，その一方では社会悪も潜んでいるということを認識し，今後の携帯電話のあるべき姿を考察したいと考える。
万人が持つ携帯電話だけに，社会性を考慮し，より良い美しいデザインを開発することが人々の生活を美しくする。との認識の下にデザインの役割を考えたい。
It is essential to recognize the history of a mobile phone to date, when you discuss its industrial designs. A mobile phone is already one of “daily necessities”, and its values are closely related to its industrial designs. While a mobile phone brings about convenience to society, it also has negative impacts. Considering these two aspects, I would like to discuss the ideal position which a mobile phone should assume. I would also like to discuss the role of industrial designs, with the recognition that beautiful designs bring about beautiful lives since a mobile phone is a product which most people own.
