連通ウレタン真空断熱材は，従来の冷蔵庫に使用されているウレタン断熱材の約2.5倍の断熱性能を持ち，重量が粉末真空断熱材の1/4と軽量である全く新しい真空断熱技術である。
この技術は，特に優れた断熱性能が要求される冷凍冷蔵庫への応用に適している。
本報告は，連通ウレタン真空断熱材の構造，原理，特徴，冷凍冷蔵庫への応用について述べる。
Open-cell polyurethane Evacuated Panel Insulation (EPI) represents an entirely new vacuum insulation technology with the insulation efficiency of approximately 2.5 times as large as that of the conventional polyurethane insulator used for refrigerator, and it weighs only one-fourth of silica particle EPI.
This technology is especially suitable for application to refrigerator and other appliances which require high degree of insulation efficiency.
This report will discuss the structure, principle, features and application to refrigerator-freezer of open cell polyurethane EPI.
