20世紀後半のわが国における大量生産大量消費は，現在保有している廃棄物の最終埋立て処分場を今世紀中にほぼ使い果たすとの試算を厚生省が発表した。残り僅かな世紀末，豊かな地球環境を破壊することなく次代に引き継ぐため企業はいま新しい商品を開発すること以上に環境保全，資源の有効利用，省エネルギーといった直面している緊急課題に取り組むことを求められている。
これら環境問題への社会的責任を果たすべく，長い間お客様にご愛用いただいた複写機を逆販売ルートを使って回収し，できるだけ多くの部品を再利用するため，全て手作業によるきめの細かい分解を行い，洗浄や表面処理技術，独自の余寿命解析技術によって再生した部品を，１品１品新品と同等の検査基準で検査し合格となった部品を生産ラインに投入し生産をおこなった。こうして多くの手を加ることで，部品の平均再使用率70％以上のリマニファクチャリング機を実現した。
以下に当社複写機のリマニファクチャリングシステムについて概説する。
The Ministry of Health and Welfare has announced the trial calculation that we may exhaust the ultimate waste disposal plants currently available before the end of this century, because of mass-production and mass-consumption during the later years of the 20th century in Japan. In order to grant the next generation this beautiful earth environment, companies are expected to deal with issues that need immediate action, such as environmental conservation, effective use of resources, and saving energy, rather than to develop new products.
To fulfill social responsibility, we gather used copiers from the users through the reverse process of selling our products. To recycle as many parts as possible, we disassemble the machines with great care completely by hand, and re-produce them using the cleaning technology, surface-treating technology, and original technology of analyzing the reminder of parts'life. We then inspect the parts one by one with the same standards as for brand-new products, and we put the parts that passed our inspection into production line to build our products. As a result, we have achieved the re-manufacturing machines that contain more than 70% of recycled parts.
