待機時の消費電力を業界初の0.65WにしたS-VHS型ビデオデッキにおいて段ボール製緩衝材（以降緩衝材の名称を“アド”と呼ぶ）を採用し，各種信頼性試験を実施の後，製品化ができたのでその結果を紹介する。
A new S-VHS VCR, whose“standby”mode enjoys the highest efficiency (0.65W) in the industry, adopted a new packing material consisting of corrugated cardboard for the model.
In this paper, the authors explain the new material and the reliability tests that were conducted on it, all of which it had to pass before being used for actual products.
The test results are also discussed.
