SHARP-CMSは，有害化学物質はもとよりすべての化学物質の情報管理と社内におけるライフサイクル全体を視野に入れた量的管理を行うことができる化学物質管理システムである。
このシステムは，化学品の使用部門や環境・安全・衛生面の管理を行う「使用実態管理システム」，化学品の安全情報を参照する「MSDS，化学物質情報データベース」及び化学品の購入・使用・排出量を集計する「収支集計システム」から構成されており，既存資材発注システムと連動させることで，全社使用化学品（300部門，延べ3800種類）の購入量を自動的に集計できるだけでなく，その使用量，排出量等を組織別又は化学物質別に把握し，管理することが可能である。
This paper describes SHARP-CMS, a chemical management system which manages information of all chemical substances, including hazardous ones, while giving them quantitative control with their total lifecycle being considered.
This system is composed of the following three parts:
1) Usage status management system, which manages information on the sections handling the chemicals and their impact on the environment, safety and health,
2) MSDS and chemical substance information database, which provides safety information on each chemical.
3) Material balance control system, which keeps track of how much each chemical is purchased, used and emitted.
Combined with the existing procurement system, it enables analysis and control of the consumption and emission etc. by section and substance as well as automatic calculation of the amount purchased by the whole company
(At Sharp, 300 sections use approx. 3800 types of chemicals in total).
