ザウルスに代表される携帯情報端末は，携帯電話・PHSなど移動体通信の急激な成長と相まって，広く普及しつつある。市場には様々な携帯情報端末が提案されてきており，ユーザは各々の機器で同じ使い勝手を求めている。モバイルオフィス推進協議会（MOPA）は，それらを検討し提案するために任意団体として設立された。当社はその中で重要な役割を果たしており，そこで提案されたMBTマネージャもザウルスに搭載されたPIMScriptの技術を活用している。
本論文ではモバイルオフィス推進協議会の取り組みについて紹介する。
As the communication infrastructures such as cellular phone and PHS are spread rapidly, mobile business tools such as PDA and Zaurus have been popularized widely.
Mobile users require the same utilities for mobile tools and systems in various environments. In MOPA (Mobile Office Promotion Association), several studies have been carried out on the MBT (Mobile Business Tool) and the systems to support these demands. MOPA was established as a voluntary association in March 1996. The association aims at promoting the progress of the technologies and the spread of the industries for the MBT and relating systems. SHARP is taking the chair of the association. MOPA is working on the standardization of the MBT Manager. MBT manager is the software platform for the MBT that is based on PIM Script technology of ZAURUS.
In this article, the association activities are briefly introduced.
