IT社会の変革における社会ニーズ，インフラ動向とディスプレイについて考察する。21世紀のIT社会は，高度コンピューティング，大容量メモリ，高性能ネットワークなどが進展し，いつでも，誰でも，どこでも，情報の恩恵を受けることができるようになる。
社会ニーズに応じて，情報・サービスは多様化して行く。多様化する情報を観る窓としての役目を果たすディスプレイについて，クライアントの用途に応じた性能，サイズ，技術動向を探る。
As the IT society reforms, we should consider the relationship between social needs, the trend of infrastructures and displays. In the IT society of the 21st century where an advanced computing, a large-volume memory, and a high performance network become available, anyone can always receive benefits of the information anytime and anywhere.
According to the social needs, both information and consumer services diversify. In this paper, I would like to describe trends of displays from the view point of their performance, size and technology according to client needs reflecting diversified information.
