現在，ネットワーク端末の機能拡張はネットワーク上のサービスから提供される形が主流になってきており，端末の特長を活かし，新たな使い方を提案するためにもネットワークサービスが重要な役割を持つようになっている。
本稿では，カメラやアニメーション再生機能を搭載した端末やネットワーク接続された端末同士の新たな活用法や楽しみ方を利用者が発見でき，またカラー化・高精細化が進む表示機能を活かすなど端末を進化させる目的で提供しているいくつかのサービスを紹介する。
またこれらのサービスで用いているEメールによるアップロードの仕組み，サムネイル画像，端末に応じた表示変換の仕組み，異種端末間の画像交換技術，あらかじめいろいろなサイトのトピックスが確認できる仕組み，アニメーションを利用した情報伝達について解説する。
Today various functions of the terminal device are expanding using network
services, which becomes more and more important to extend the possibility
and availability of these devices. This paper introduces the network services
that we are providing for the purpose of evolving these devices. Various
users are able to find new possibilities and pleasure using the terminal
tools with a camera system or with a function to view animations or to
communicate with each other through networks, making use of color and
high-definition pictures. Then we will explain some features that we developed
for these services, such as uploading new contents using e-mail, generation
thumbnail images, transformation of format within various terminals, indexing
mechanism to check topics of various sites in advance, and communication
using animations.
