地上デジタル放送対応テレビをはじめとする情報機器の組込み用途向けに新たな文字入力システムを開発した。画面上での文字入力システムの多くはその表示のために画面全体を覆いコンテンツを隠してしまう，また画面を使用しないシステムであってもその習熟に時間がかかるといった問題を抱えている。本稿における文字入力システムは日本語の持つ特性に注目し，直感的に理解可能な操作方法による使いやすさとコンパクトな表示領域による画面の有効活用を実現するものである。
We have developed a word-input-system for embedded use such as digital information appliances. For a display, most of word-input-systems cover the whole screen and a background will be hidden. Even if the systems which do not cover a screen, there is a problem that mastery takes time. Based on the Japanese feature, this system offers an intuitive operation method, with effective use of a screen in the compact display domain.
